Lekkerland is presenting the REWE To Go Smart Store at Frankfurt Airport: an unmanned convenience store which uses innovative technology and the first cashierless shop at an airport in Germany. ​

The 70 m² store uses AI-supported grab-and-go technology, enabling customers to check in with a payment card and purchase products in under 30 seconds without going through the checkout process. It uses computer vision technology from AiFi for the grab-and-go process, as well as proprietary software for quick check-in and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies for selling coffee and age-restricted items. It also uses point-of-sale (POS) and ordering systems from Lekkerland and REWE. ​

These technologies ensure an efficient, seamless shopping experience that is available around the clock, reduces personnel costs and enhances brand perception.​
