Colruyt Group from Halle in Belgium has launched next generation of smart shopping carts: The SmartShopper EyeQ.

The EyeQ uses a network of cameras and weighing sensors to scan products via camera technology. A multi-camera system, computer vision, AI models, edge computing, and a dual display interface enable fast, hands-free shopping.

Integrated sensors enable location-based advertising and targeted promotions. A smart scale integration in the fresh produce section automatically recognizes, weighs, and scans fruit and vegetables. The solution is seamlessly integrated into PIM, POS, and loyalty systems, ensuring faster checkouts, lower labor costs, and higher store capacity.

The SmartShopper EyeQ turns the shopping cart into a mobile digital assistant.
