E center Warnow Park, which is the largest Edeka in northern Germany at 8,500 sqm, has implemented Captana’s user-friendly shelf camera solution to improve its operational efficiency. By using wireless cameras and sensors, the system captures real-time shelf data. The solution detects shelf gaps and prompts tasks for the employees on the CaptanaLIVE app for MDE devices. One aim is to effectively optimise personnel resources. The shelf monitoring solution prioritises and controls shelf replenishment in a sales-driven manner, taking into account current promotions and top sellers. Within two months, E center Warnow Park was able to increase its merchandise availability by 3 percentage points.
